Aquarius 12 ~ “Look how fast it’s passing by.”

“Look how fast it’s passing by.”
The Span of Defensiveness

Phase 312

Air Element

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Aquarius 12° People on stairs graduated upwards

This is a symbol of the common enhancement of individual experience on the side of its inner gratification, and of the inherent differences among human kind which enable man to share any endeavor with his fellows whenever they prove either more or less competent than himself. There are limitless levels on which he may bring his aspiration to a momentary consummation, but no one of these alone can ever offer him sufficient ground for his own ultimate self-fulfillment.

The keyword is PROGRESSION

When positive, the degree is an effective forward point of view and a genuine capitalization on all prior accomplishment, and when negative, frantic efforts to keep ahead of others.

The formula is: manipulating-ideal-ingenious-specializing-physical-sensitive.

It says it’s the staircase (escalator) going up. But the balls have a mind of their own. True enough, they started at the bottom, but as soon as they got to the top, down they came, only for a free-ride up again. So, what to make of today’s septenary? Well, we’ve given you a bouncing start. Why don’t you chime in and let us know how the ride is from your perspective?

Here’s mine: You can ride, you can walk to get up more quickly. You can be a party-pooper and sit and get your butt pinched at the top, or you can keep pressing downward, lose your balance and maybe hurt a toe or two. Entirely up to you, but this staircase IS going up; that’s a fact!

“It’s everything and more.”
The Span of Defensiveness
Phase 311
Air Element
Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, Sabian Symbols in Astrology:
Aquarius 11° Man tête-à-tête with his inspiration
This is a symbol of satisfaction in the transcendental experiences of selfhood, and of a new realization that each individual lives in a consistent intimacy with spiritual verities of every sort and on every hand. Implicit in the symbolism is the need to act continually in personal self-interest, and to translate every vision into practical consummation. As man accepts the over-shadowing of a universal life and order, he must demonstrate his own special capacities and rededicate his own individual achievements.
The keyword is ECSTASY
When positive, the degree is an enthusiastic idealism and a tireless desire to serve others, and when negative, complete self-obsession.
The formula is: manipulating-ideal-ingenious-specializing-physical-experimental.
Jason Mraz – Beautiful Mess (Nobel Peace Prize Concert 2008) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VD9iDZHrQjw
I asked how she was doing and she said, “Fantastic, and it’s getting better every minute!”
It’s that kind of day if we allow it to be…
The definition of tête–à–tête is a private conversation between two people. In the original French it means “head-to-head”. It is, perhaps, an inner dialogue with the perfect complement of oneself, idealized, as Jung defined the anima and animus. In any event, here is the best and the brightest and the most inspirational kind of experience one can have, whether within or without.
And should it be within, should it not? I mean, if by now we do realize that within each of us there is the masculine and the feminine trying to rewire itself into ideal balance… Ideally, you know, that perfect “alchemical marriage” exists potentially somewhere beginning in our very own minds.
Well, today’s septenary is about a man tête–à–tête with his inspiration. Keyword, “Ecstasy”. What better vision of that than the ideal feminine within, shoulder to shoulder with the ideal masculine within. And it should, by now, go without saying, that this is regardless of your physical gender.
That which inspires to self-transcendent experience. Onward to Ecstasy! Whatever inspires you, tap into that today!
Great and getting better every minute? Why, yes, I’ll have some of that, please!

Aquarius 10 ~ “Guarantee your own success.”

“Guarantee your own success.”

The Span of Defensiveness

Phase 310

Air Element

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Aquarius 10° A popularity that proves ephemeral

This is a symbol of the eternal challenge which comes to an individual at every point of climax in his experience, and of the swing of the pendulum between an endorsement and a repudiation of his efforts by his social group. He must learn to accept the applause as encouragement in his self-strengthening but to look for any continued sustainment from his own stability of being. A courageous self-confidence and an unflagging faith are worthy of recognition, but only in their moment of significance.

The keyword is APPROBATION

When positive, the degree is a gift for bringing the issues of life to a dramatic consummation at a time of crisis, and when negative, prodigal opportunism.

The formula is: manipulating-ideal-ingenious-specializing-physical-inspired.

Monsoon ~ Jack Johnson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R67iIYene_w

Things that are ephemeral, that don’t last–the wind, the waves, your worries, your cares. All the comings and all the goings. Still, you are you. Still, I am me. Relax and let’s just enjoy the ride. We’re only here for a short while.

All of life
Is in one drop of the ocean
Waiting to go home
Just waiting to go home
And if the moon
Can turn the tides it can pull the tears
and take them from our eyes
And make them into monsoons
And turn them into mon –
Sooner or later they’ll weave their way back to the sea
Gonna finally be free
Yeah, free for a while

Aquarius 9 ~ “Loyalty leads me upward.”

2018-01-28_9-33-50

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Aquarius 9° A flag turned into an eagle

This is a symbol of man’s inexhaustibly fertile imagination or genius for significant self-representation, and of his capacity for rising to every situation in the terms of its most rewarding potentials. Here is his contribution of enduring purpose to all things by his vision of their worth, and his determination to make this evident through every ramification of his own personal living. The loyalties of human beings are the foundation of any possible society, and any individual prospers as he springs to action in their defense.

The keyword is DRAMATIZATION

When positive, the degree is accomplishment through utter self-dedication, and when negative, vindictive pride.

The formula is: manipulating-ideal-ingenious-specializing-physical-responsible.

Noun vs Verb

You know, loyalty, like love, is best dramatized as a verb rather than a noun. One can say they are loyal and stand their ground, like a flag pole, perhaps. Or one can live loyally, which is an entirely different thing.

Today, things that take advantage of the wind. Some using it to wave their banner; others using it to fly.

Loyalty: a feeling of strong support for someone or something. Go for the plussage sense.

“A stroll down memory lane.”

The Span of Defensiveness

Phase 308

Air Element

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Aquarius 8° Beautifully gowned wax figures

This is a symbol of the ineradicable vanity of the human spirit as it gathers strength not only from the finery it wears but from a superficial display of woman’s form and man’s reputation, here emphasized through personal idealizations. A strong psychological dynamic for individual effort comes from the direct influence of outstanding and even notorious people, and implicit in the static symbolism of the waxworks is a necessity to recognize and identify the values worthy of emulation.

The keyword is IMPACT

When positive, the degree is achievement through the effective dramatization of human character on some level of everyday understanding, and when negative, futile effort to recapture outworn experience.

The formula is: manipulating-ideal-ingenious-specializing-physical-receptive.

Not Soon Forgotten

Unforgettable things come from unforgettable moments filled with unforgettable emotions. Good ones. Bad ones. Painful ones. Pleasurable ones. No one remembers it just like you do. We all have our unforgettable things.

Wax is Made for Melting, Molding ~ Time to Take Your Temperature

In Madam Tussauds Wax Museum are those unforgettable characters that left their mark on history. But this is symbolism we’re talking about… So, you see, within each one of us is a wax museum of unforgettable characters, associated with emotions from our individual and unforgettable pasts. Maybe today is a good time to take a walk around the memories in your mind, and to ask a few questions of yourself—the you that is now in contrast to the one that was then. Revisit the villains, the heroes, the enablers, the bullies, the angels, the demons, the witches—all of them stars in one way or another.

The Past is Past, but the Present Holds all the Power

What I mean by this is that the very significance of our ability to have memories is that we can revisit them IN ORDER TO CHANGE THEM–their impact on us—anytime we want! Today that opportunity is emphasized! And this is the secret—the golden key—of changing the past: only you have the power to change the meaning and significance of the past! Don’t believe me? Check your triggers! How are those working for you? Making you happy? Putting a smile on your face?

Seriously now, what upsets you? What makes you boiling mad? What is causing you to so harshly judge others? Did someone die and take away your Godhood with them? Poor you! Oh, I see, uh-huh. I get it. That must have been horrible to have had to live through! Wow! How old were you, again? Oh, I see, two years old. (or five, or ten, or twelve, or twenty…. Doesn’t matter! Not the point!)

The Point of the Past = The Opportunity of the Present = The Future You Deserve

So, you’re telling me that that two-year olds’ memory—with all that mountain of experience and wisdom, understanding and consciousness—that two year old is still informing the present you about that situation? Wow! Way to give your power away, Agent Smith!

The Matrix Says, The Future is in Your Hands!

If you missed the point you missed it. If you got it, you were meant to. Now, go take a stroll down memory lane and see how you can change things up—mold them for the better.

I am Sam
Sam I am
That Sam-I-am
That Sam-I-am!
I do not like
That Sam-I-am

But, maybe, just maybe, we could… Who are the prisoners of your memories? Set the captives free.

Aquarius 7 ~ “Endings become beginnings.”

“Endings become beginnings.”

The Span of Defensiveness

Phase 307

Air Element

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Aquarius 7° A child born of an eggshell

This is a symbol of the infinite regression in all personal reality, not as a fact of some mysterious loss of self either in source or in final dissolution but as a demonstration of the illimitable potentialities to be found in each immediate moment of self-realization. For his own enlightenment a man may project himself indefinitely into what has been or what may be but his assurance is in the ever-present sustainment of the auric egg or self-matrix in which existence continues to create itself in its own image.

The keyword is ESSENTIALITY

When positive, the degree is a highly individual and completely unlimited resourcefulness, and when negative, naïve reliance on external accident.

The formula is: manipulating-ideal-ingenious-specializing-physical-sensitive.

“Unboil” is now a word

Scientists unboil an egg, and it may be a big deal

“Scientists have figured out how to unboil an egg. It may seem like a mere parlor trick, but it is an achievement that could ‘dramatically’ cut costs for cancer treatments, food production and other research in the $160 billion global biotechnology industry, according to a press release that was posted online Friday. It also means ‘unboil’ is now a word.” Article by Veronique Beranger http://ps.uci.edu/news/8544

We’ve heard it before—every ending is a new beginning, but this proposed outlandish scientific discovery—the idea of unboiling an egg—may at least provide for a new perspective of this symbol, A child born from an eggshell.

We would need to add the essential ingredient of timelessness–that life is not linear but ever-present. Here is the cosmic and auric egg of existence referred to in Marc’s interpretation. The ability to go back and forth, over and over again in life without fear of loss of existence itself: a self-matrix, chances for change, for doing this part again but better and change that allows us to undo or bring restoration to previous failed attempts. Eternally living (let’s do that again)–eternally letting go of what does not prove its worth (dying)–ever-sustaining and fulfilling our desire for experiential existence.

Aquarius 6 ~ “The rhythm moves it forward.”

“The rhythm moves it forward.”

The Span of Defensiveness

Phase 306

Air Element

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Aquarius 6° A performer of a mystery play

This is a symbol of the mediating function of the mind as it is called on to interpret the individual and his world to each other, and as the everyday values of experience thereby are heightened in personality on the one side and in life itself on the other. The conventional aspect of reality is found to be a convenient backdrop for man’s self-realization, and his particular characteristics are exalted as variant and ever-stimulating potentialities of living relationship in general.

The keyword is SUBTLETY

When positive, the degree is a gift for dramatizing the deeper or real opportunities of a human society, and when negative, consistent self-mystification and marked impracticability.

The formula is: manipulating-ideal-ingenious-specializing-physical-experimental.

Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas

Carry on, my wayward son
There’ll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don’t you cry no more.

Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher,
but I flew too high.

Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man
I hear the voices when I’m dreaming,
I can hear them say,

Carry on, my wayward son
There’ll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don’t you cry no more.

Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man,
it surely means that I don’t know.

On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about I’m like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune,
but I hear the voices say,

Carry on, my wayward son
There’ll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don’t you cry no more.

Carry on, you will always remember
Carry on, nothing equals the splendor
Now your life’s no longer empty
Surely heaven waits for you.

Carry on, my wayward son
There’ll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don’t you cry, don’t you cry no more.

Aquarius 5 ~ “What matters is connection.”

“What matters is connection.”

The Span of Defensiveness

Phase 305

Air Element

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Aquarius 5° A council of ancestors

This is a symbol of the enduring reality which man creates in the over-all ideal he accepts for himself, and of his immortal dependence on the characteristics which have proved their value and hence have their continual re-embodiment in the hearts and minds of one generation after another. The emphasis here is on the individual as a challenge to the world at large, since the whole of his background mobilizes itself continually to serve him and to facilitate a further refinement of potentialities incarnate in his person. Self ultimately must fulfill itself.

The keyword is ANTECEDENCE

When positive, the degree is power through absolute self-integrity, and when negative, sterile conservatism.

Love Runs Out http://youtu.be/0OWj0CiM8WU

THE 12 LAWS OF KARMA

  1. THE GREAT LAW

As you sow, so shall you reap. This is also known as the Law of Cause and Effect. Whatever we put out in the Universe is what comes back to us. If what we want is Happiness, Peace, Friendship, Love… Then we should BE Happy, Peaceful, Loving, a Friend.

  1. THE LAW OF CREATION

Life doesn’t just HAPPEN, it requires our participation. We are one with the Universe both inside and out. Whatever surrounds us gives us clues to our inner state. BE and DO yourself… what you want to have in your Life.

  1. THE LAW OF HUMILITY

What you refuse to accept, will continue for you. If what we see is an enemy, or someone with a character trait that we find to be negative then we ourselves are not focused on a higher level of existence.

  1. THE LAW OF GROWTH

Wherever you go, there you are. For us to GROW in Spirit it is we who must change and not the people, places or things around us. The only given we have in our lives is OURSELVES and that is the only factor we have control over. When we change who and what we are within our heart our life changes too.

  1. THE LAW OF RESPONSIBILITY

Whenever there is something wrong, there is something wrong in me. We mirror what surrounds us and what surrounds us mirrors us. We must take responsibility for what is in our life.

  1. THE LAW OF CONNECTION

Even if something we do seems inconsequential, it is very important that it gets done as everything in the Universe is connected. Each step leads to the next step and so forth and so on. Someone must do the initial work to get a job done. Neither the first step nor the last are of greater significance. They were both needed to accomplish the task. Past, Present, Future, they are all connected…

  1. THE LAW OF FOCUS

You can’t think of two things at the same time. When our focus is on Spiritual Values it is impossible for us to have lower thoughts such as greed or anger.

  1. THE LAW OF GIVING AND HOSPITALITY

If you believe something to be true, then sometime in your life you will be called upon to demonstrate that truth. Here is where we put what we SAY that we have learned into PRACTICE.

  1. THE LAW OF HERE AND NOW

Looking back to examine what was, prevents us from being totally in the HERE AND NOW. Old thoughts, old patterns of behavior, old dreams… prevent us from having new ones

  1. THE LAW OF CHANGE

History repeats itself until we learn the lessons that we need to change our path.

  1. THE LAW OF PATIENCE AND REWARD

All Rewards require initial toil. Rewards of lasting value require patient and persistent toil. True Joy follows doing what we’re supposed to be doing and waiting for the Reward to come in its own time.

  1. THE LAW OF SIGNIFICANCE AND INSPIRATION

You get back from something whatever you’ve put into it. The Value of something is a direct result of the energy and intent that is put into it. Every personal contribution is also a contribution to the Whole.

Lack luster Contributions have no impact on the Whole or work to diminish it. Loving contributions lift up and inspire the Whole.

Aquarius 4 ~ “Learning to rule from within.”

“Learning to rule from within.”

The Span of Defensiveness

Phase 304

Air Element

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Aquarius 4° A Hindu healer

This is a symbol of self-assertion to a point of effective impact on the world, dramatized here on the side of an inner and transcendental reality. A spiritualized self-discipline achieves a magical ordering of the whole course of events, and in its perfecting it provides a spectacular ministry for the minds and bodies of all. The individual ever dramatizes his immortal capacities as he translates these into his tangible achievements on one or another level of life.

The keyword is THERAPY

When positive, the degree is high personal skill in bringing the least of human potentials to some ultimate consummation, and when negative, false claims of psychological power in an effort to impress others.

The formula is: manipulating-ideal-ingenious-specializing-physical-responsible.

Gollum http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLvIFRNbqOs

The chaff and the wheat

Remember that story about the chaff and the wheat? The idea is that there will come a threshing time—a time of determining what’s worth keeping and what isn’t? This process of filtration and discernment we must attend to on an on-going basis, with ourselves, with others. As we do so, there will be marked improvement in how we feel, inside and out. It’s not about perfection. This isn’t the world for that. It’s about well-being. If it doesn’t feel right, then take a closer look. Maybe you can fix that. Then again, maybe you’re trying to fix “out there” when it’s your duty to fix “in here”…

Things with small beginnings

Here’s a good listen about little things that can become big things if left unattended: Between the Cliff’s Edge and the Lion’s Mouth, an audio blog by Matt B., posted on January 23, 2015: http://www.mattbieber.net/cliffs-edge-lions-mouth/ “Can Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity help us understand OCD? In this episode, I yap about tension and resistance, matter and gravity, Newton and Euclid, Adam and Eve, right and wrong, and Chinese finger traps.”

Rulership

The idea is that you’re your own healer, your own best advice giver, the one who will determine when to reach out for help if you need it. You’re the one in charge here; it’s your life. And no king or queen stays down for long. There are things to do, contracts to sign, people to meet. You’re not perfect, but you are in charge of your kingdom, so please do your job as best as you are able. Be the perfectly imperfect you. It’s time to engage in your therapy, your healing, your life. That’s not gonna happen just sitting there on a throne. Stand up! Shoulders back! Chin up! The secret to keeping your crown on is never bending your head too far down.

Roger that!

“Clearance for the way ahead.”

The Span of Defensiveness

Phase 303

Air Element

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Aquarius 3° A deserter from the navy

This is a symbol of human independence carried to a point of extreme rebellion against things as they are, here emphasized in a disregard of all consequences for the sake of an immediate liberation of the spirit. There is a demand for a more rewarding expression of individuality, and the reversed symbolism suggests that any late acceptance of full and personal responsibility for life is better than none at all. Except as man creates his own allegiances, his destiny holds no depth.

The keyword is DEFIANCE

When positive, the degree is genuine psychological courage in a repudiation of all meaningless loyalties, and when negative, complete inability to follow the rules of any game.

The formula is: manipulating-ideal-ingenious-specializing-physical-receptive.

Just when you think hope is lost
And giving up is all you got,
Blue turns black,
Your confidence is cracked,
There seems no turning back from here.
Sometimes there isn’t an obvious explanation
Why the holiest hearts can feel the strongest palpitations
That’s when you can build a bridge of light…

With All My Heart

The holiest of hearts? Okay, folks, today’s not about a heart divided.

Today’s not about a cup half-full or half-empty.

Today’s not about talking out of two sides of our mouths at the same time.

Today the left hand knows what the right hand is doing.

Today is not bluffing.

Today decide—no more duality.

Today you need to defy something.

Something needs to stop right here and right now.

That is, if you would be a holy heart.
