Libra 8° “Rising up through the ashes.”

The Span of Expectation – The 1st Hemisphere of Libra

Phase 188

Air Element – Cardinal

The formula is: manipulating-critical-ingenious-specializing-social-receptive.

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, The Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Libra 8° A blazing fireplace in a deserted home

This is a symbol of naïve reality, or of the basic law of the cosmos whereby all things tend to continue steadily in their accustomed function. Implicit here is the burning desire or capacity for passion which establishes man’s loyalty to each object of his self-projection and instruments his more consistent self-orientation through each phase of personal responsibility to the world in which he finds himself.

The Keyword is GUARDIANSHIP

When positive, the degree is an exceptional gift for enlisting both men and the natural forces of life in the service of self and its dominating vision, and when negative, a witless dismissal of all affairs to their own devices.

“Death on one level means life on another.” Avia

And within this darkness, I became the light. …In psychic spaces, in the darkness, look for that which shines the brightest. Follow it…become it…then, lead it.

“Vultures Chose Me” is a video by Green Renaissance that documents a woman’s flight with the vultures. It is simply breathtaking. I hope you enjoy it. http://youtu.be/LqsD3UqzkJQ

“That is freedom. You’re flying up there, and the sun is going down. It’s peaceful. It’s quiet.”

If Vulture has flown across your path you are being asked to be patient with yourself and think things through. Take your time before making decisions and choose paths that support your higher consciousness and your heart. Use all of your resources combined with your past experience to approach the problem from a different angle. Know that you are always free to choose your own path but be flexible while moving forward. Allow yourself to use all of your senses to navigate through this situation for your highest benefit. Call on all your resources to get the job done. Alternatively Vulture recognizes that you are fiercely protective of those you feel responsible for but you are reminded that knowing when to allow others to sink or swim is important too. Recognize the need for higher awareness in all those around you.” Spirit Animals

Libra 7° “Cometh hell or high water!”

The Span of Expectation – 1st Hemisphere of Libra

Phase 187

Air Element – Cardinal

The formula is: manipulating-critical-ingenious-specializing-social-sensitive.

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, The Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Libra 7° A woman feeding chickens and protecting them from the hawks

This is a symbol of the creative division of labor between the functions of man and nature, and of the dual constitution of the soul in its responsibilities of conservation on the one hand and of development on the other. There is here every capacity for a control of events through a nurturing of the things which are desirable and a rejection of those which have no immediate value.

The Keyword is SHREWDNESS

When positive, the degree is a high competence in administering the duties of normal experience and a very special skill in protecting the self’s real interests, and when negative, a complete personal ineptitude in the face of life’s everyday and recurrent complexities.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

Where are the chickens in Vincent van Gogh’s sketch? Where are the hawks?

Things that are implied through action only! With one hand she holds up her apron to create a pouch to hold the feed in it, and with her other she tosses it forth and scatters it upon the ground. All of this set against a dark sky. You can almost make out the texture of hawk feathers! But Van Gogh certainly did not mean to pain for us Libra 7!

But, if time is not, and if he was of another time and place, intended for our hearing today?… Well, think shrewdly upon these things if you will. Now I understand what you tried to say to me… They would not listen, they did not know how. Perhaps they’ll listen now.

Libra 6° “What happens when you add fire?”

Libra 6

The Span of Expectation – The 1st Hemisphere of Libra

Phase 186

Air Element – Cardinal

The formula is: manipulating-critical-ingenious-specializing-social-experimental.

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, The Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

This is a symbol of experience as the practical or everyday substantiation of inner insight and conscious understanding. Idealistic reality is found to be sheer escapism if ever taken by itself or given any authority on its own account but is the sole dynamic for the human spirit whenever any individual actually stands face to face with his opportunity. Implicit here is the realization that man’s being has its beginning in the meaning with which it is endowed.

The Keyword is PERSONIFICATION.

When positive, the degree is power through the full employment of imagination for the discovery and development of human potentiality, and when negative, self-defeat through inadequate expectation and superficial allegiances.

Fire Power ~ The Last Element

What happens when you add Fire to the first three elements — Earth, Air and Water? I realize that Fire is considered the first element; however, it was the last one we, mankind, received, and so in the present consideration, let us considered the beginning from the end or what happens when the first comes last and the last comes first…

What will happen will depend on how whether we choose to destroy or to create with it. When we play with it, ignorantly or otherwise, we end up getting burned. This we learn from experience.

We could utilize it to stay warm from the cold, prepare warm food, cleanse in warm water. Those would be beneficial uses of fire. We could also create weapons with it, for protection or for violent aggression. Good or bad the intention, Fire will serve us as we desire.

That’s probably why Zeus didn’t want Prometheus to give it to us. We weren’t wise enough. He knew we’d get burned. But Prometheus knew that without it we wouldn’t survive; we’d die from the cold. Fire, dangerous to handle, but it’s the only way to survive. And, not only survive, but thrive.

Through it, we might find ourselves in the throes of immoral pleasures or passions. On the other hand, we could touch the higher realms of spiritual inspiration and magic–physically, mentally or emotionally.

Fire–it all depends on what we do with it. One thing about Fire; when you misuse it or use it, there will be immediate feedback. We will learn, one way or another. We wanted to be like the Gods. We’ve got our chance. We’ve got Fire power. How are we handling it so far?

Libra 5° “Moving towards something greater.”

The Span of Expectation – The 1st Hemisphere of Libra

Phase 185

Air Element – Cardinal

The formula is: manipulating-critical-ingenious-specializing-physical-inspired.

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, The Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Libra 5° A man teaching the true inner knowledge

This is a symbol of the inviolability of all genuine inspiration, and of the opportunity offered every individual to reach out to his fellows through his participation with them in everyday experience, and thereupon to communicate his deeper insights to them through common responsibilities. His integrity of being lies in his continual self-orientation to both man and the world in terms of ultimate potentialities.

The Keyword is AFFINITY.

When positive, the degree is a genius for understanding and calling out the underlying realizations by which human character comes to know itself at its best, and when negative, fatuous pride in the self’s acumen and subtle or underhanded attempts to dominate everyone.

In ten minutes of your time you will experience a paradigm shift. I promise it. Meet Carly https://youtu.be/vNZVV4Ciccg

The Tree of Life

Love – permanent state of consciousness ♥ Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usnYb85oLuU

Roots ~ Purity. Are you pure?

Trunk ~ Intelligence. Are you wise?

Branches ~ Kindness. Are you kind?

We might begin right where we are at without looking for short-cuts – paths we are not yet ready or prepared to embark upon – which might put us in harm’s way. There is an order to the universe—out there and in here. It begins with you.

The Fruits of The Tree of Life

“Numbers are the framework of the universe, and those who know them not only possess the science of creation but also become all-powerful, for numbers are magic forces. All human beings have a specific number, and if they know it, they also know exactly where they fit into the universe.

You could say that every human being is a number which has its own particular vibration and that this fundamental, essential vibration, determines their being and the whole of their life: their destiny and their path in life, as well as their physical body, their health and even the cast of their features.

A person’s number represents the vibrations of his or her innermost being, which attract certain elements and repulse others, in accordance with the law of affinity and polarity, of which I have often spoken.” Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov – Spiritual Master

Libra 4° “Gather ’round, the fire’s ready.”

The Span of Expectation – The 1st Hemisphere of Libra

Phase 184

Air Element – Cardinal

The formula is: manipulating-critical-ingenious-specializing-physical-responsible.

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, The Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Libra 4° A group around a campfire

This is a symbol of an initial or uncritical consummation of group experience, and of the totally unconditioned capacity of each individual to associate himself with his kind without exaction or inhibition. Implicit here is the fact that any reality broader than a simple self-concern must have its origin in common functions where any responsibility becomes the expression of identity rather than of a divergence in interest.

The Keyword is AMIABILITY.

When positive, the degree is special skill in building an everyday morale and in sustaining an effective structure for further and greater objectives in life, and when negative, a lazing away of opportunity and an idle dependence on others.

Let the campfire lure you back to your memories.

Rocco DeLuca ~ Congregate https://youtu.be/KELbGYYfRjM

Part 1 – The busy, busy days of youth camp focused on a central concept, reason, or theme which brought the particular group together.

The busy, busy daylight hours of outdoor activities and adventures—setting up tents or claiming bunks in the cabins; unpacking, organizing, arranging–making sure things were in order. We invigorated in this new, exciting—even if temporary—environment. We had to know what the different whistle sounds from our counselor’s whistle meant—both long and short bursts, and how to responsibly use our own—in case of emergency only! And we had to attend to our assigned duties, do our chores—for the good of the group. We chopped and gathered wood, filled our buckets with water—taking turns at leading and following–through narrow hiking trails full of thorns and switches—to see who had the most remaining water when we returned to base camp.

And, of course, each of us had our own walking stick! Perhaps we had feathers twined to its top, or maybe we’d whittled our initials into ours. It mattered not save that our identity was preserved and honored—respected by the group.

More assignments of observing, learning and writing down our notes on types of vegetation, insects, birds, perhaps even animals! … Oh my! Be on the look-out! Know the warning signs, and the way to signal for help, should you find yourself in danger or lost. Ever watching out for one another. Knowing where the first aid kit was. Staying alert.

And, lots and lots of bug spray and sunscreen lotion! Then comes the evening. Day is done, gone the sun. From the lakes, from the hills, from the sky. All is well, safely rest, God is nigh…

“Gather round! The fire’s ready!”

“A symbol is an idea made flesh, a spirit that has come to incarnate. Through the flesh or body of the symbol we must seek to reconnect to the idea, the force, the energy that exists above. As we become able to decipher symbols, we become familiar with the language of Cosmic Intelligence.” Omraam

Part 2 – The stars come out. The night sounds—the hooting of owls, perhaps. And….the crackling of the….campfire. Oh, that memory begins something like this call over the counselor’s megaphone: “Bring it in, bring it in! Gather ‘round, the fire’s ready!”

The most treasured and ritualized gathering of the group around the campfire—

And so we gather, we congregate, we assemble, and it is our way of giving thanks, of remembering who we are. As individuals we share stories while others listen. We take turns. Then as a group we sing, oftentimes in rounds. And we laugh. Sometimes we cry. Mostly we do both–with our hearts and minds joined in unity. We know, around the campfire, that we “belong”. Campfires bring us together to inspire as well as consume. Here it is we congregate in the sacred open space beneath the cosmic skies. Here our arduous encounters with sticks and stones, thorns and bushes, rivers and streams, sun and sweat, mosquitoes and critters, are brought in close and shared, recounted, sealed up to our remembrance.

Laughter and song, fire stoking and skyward gazing, we bring it in, we gather ’round. We unwind, we regroup. Bonds are forged that will never be forgotten. Here we are re-stimulated, re-ignited. Though our division of labor and skill and responsibility may differ tremendously ‘out there’, here we are reminded that we all belong, we are all needed and wanted–we are a group—a special sort of family–and it is a magical thing!

Let’s not forget the s’mores! Grab a stick and come join us! You are welcome here!

“Gather ‘round, the fire’s ready.” Namaste ~ Saijin

Libra 3° “If at first you don’t succeed…”

The Span of Expectation – The 1st Hemisphere of Libra

Phase 183

Air Element – Cardinal

The formula is: manipulating-critical-ingenious-specializing-physical-receptive.

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, The Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Libra 3° The dawn of a new day, everything changed

This is a symbol of the illimitable potentialities to be found when it comes to any personal participation in everyday affairs, and of the thoroughness with which each individual remains the recurrent expression of his own self-consistencies. There is here the necessity for an ultimate self-dependence, and the consequent need to blaze a path of special recognition for each particular characteristic of selfhood.

The Keyword is INNOVATION.

When positive, the degree is man’s insatiable appetite for experiment and continuing self-discovery in every possible area of human experience, and when negative, inability to catch the challenge of living in even the most trivial matters.

He keeps working at what he enjoys, and then he shares it. “Keeps working at it”—that’s key! In other words, as this degree imparts, we are never to give up at our innovations. We are to keep getting up, getting after, getting on, getting through, getting further, getting higher, getting better…. So get on with it! Keep on trying until your work is done. Then? Then we share.

Libra 2° “Rise up light as a feather.”

Libra 2

The Span of Expectation – 1st Hemisphere of Libra

Phase 182

Air Element – Cardinal

The formula is: manipulating-critical-ingenious-specializing-physical-sensitive.

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, The Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Libra 2° The light of the sixth race transmuted to the seventh

This is a symbol of the mirror which history provides for mankind, so that each new generation may see itself reflected in its own past and therefore may be challenged to its real future. The characteristics of a modern and global society (identified by occultists as the sixth root manifestation of human culture) are idealized in the vision ahead (a seventh and climactic manifestation) and every individual is seen within full reach of his own ultimate potential.

The Keyword is THRESHOLD

When positive, the degree is the imaginative sweep of man’s vision and an eagerness to execute its promise, and when negative, a loss of reality in an infinitely regressive otherworldliness or a total lack of all practicality.

Find the Joy ~ The Bucket List https://youtu.be/iioBwO6vnEs

Weighing the Lightness of the Heart with a Feather

Maat was the ancient Egyptian concept of truth, balance, order, law, morality, and justice. Maat was also personified as a goddess regulating the stars, seasons, and the actions of both mortals and the deities, who set the order of the universe from chaos at the moment of creation. As a goddess in other traditions of the Egyptian pantheon, where most goddesses were paired with a male aspect, her masculine counterpart was Thoth and their attributes are similar. After her role in creation and continuously preventing the universe from returning to chaos, her primary role in Egyptian mythology dealt with the weighing of souls (also called the weighing of the heart) that took place in the underworld, Duat. Her feather was the measure that determined whether the souls (considered to reside in the heart) of the departed would reach the paradise of afterlife successfully. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maat

Libra 1° “Put your idea to work.”

The Span of Expectation – The 1st Hemisphere of Libra

Welcome, Autumn Equinox!

Phase 181

Air Element – Cardinal

The formula is: manipulating-critical-ingenious-specializing-physical-experimental.

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, The Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Libra 1° A butterfly made perfect by a dart through it

This is a symbol of completely unconditioned potentiality, as this may be grasped on the imaginative side of life. Here are elements of individual consciousness emerging from a primordial formlessness, and of wisdom developing through the human spirit’s continual determination to project itself into experience. Each person comes into identifiable being through the nature which has been molded for him, and thereupon refines this for his own self-expression.

The Keyword is ARTICULATION.

When positive, the degree is man’s awakening to the need for some more whole-souled focus of character, and when negative, the loss of all true selfhood by a needless surrender to the world and conformity to its ways.

We have entered the social hemisphere of the wheel, Libra through Pisces. Here we are embarking on the pathway through Libra where we have the opportunity to perfect personality in order to facilitate the broadest possible sharing of experience with our fellows.

If you are the vision-board moon goddess or a goal-driven sort of fellow, this is a perfect opportunity to step into the zodiacal sign of Love with similar intention. We have 12 such opportunities to avail ourselves of sign-setting experiments of conscious expansion each year.

Honorable Mention ~ Welcome Fall, where Forced Submission meets up with Spiritual Independence!⁣

Things that matter more—like honoring and being your true self—like answering The Call when it comes. But that does, can, and will cause trouble at times. And the higher up on the leadership totem you get, the more risk you take by abandoning the script that was handed to you.⁣

Scripts that Weren’t Adhered To⁣

Politicians and Hollywood Stars aren’t excused from this idea of being high up on the totem pole either. Any kind of fame or notoriety can get you into the arena of forced submission. But today demands spiritual independence. The light is being called into action. Lights! Camera! Action!⁣

Against All Odds⁣

Today is about the immortality of a message, in a way. Some pay a high price to deliver it. Still there are messages that will persist, regardless the risk. Those are on-stage now. Virgo 29° “The bridging of the 7 and 9.”

The Span of Experimentation

Phase 179

Earth Element – Mutable

The formula is: sustaining-practical-efficient-generalizing-spiritual-responsible.

Dr. Marc Edmund Jones provides the official meaning of this Sabian symbol in his work, The Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

Virgo 29° A man gaining secret knowledge from a paper he is reading

This is a symbol of the world’s conservatism, and of the refusal of nature to surrender any part of her heritage unnecessarily. The fixity of idea by which human beings preserve their culture is also a protection for all hidden wisdom and unsuspected ways of knowing, since the deeper awareness is merely a broader reference or a further application of stabilities which constitute a universe at large. The possibilities of greater experience lie in embryo throughout the lesser.

The Keyword is DISCOVERY

When positive, the degree is imagination brought to the full of its powers through conscious effort, and when negative, loss of common sense in pure supposition.

The Enneagram Dance: https://youtu.be/W5mJeRtjPvY

“If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have a key to the universe.” Nikola Tesla

Attention please!

The enneagram is a nine-pointed figure usually inscribed within a circle. Within the circle is a triangle connecting points 9, 3 and 6. The inscribed figure resembling a web connects the other six points in a cyclic figure 1-4-2-8-5-7. This number is derived from or corresponds to the recurring decimal .142857 = 1/7. These six points together with the point numbered 9 are said to represent the main stages of any complete process… The points numbered 3 and 6 are said to represent “shock points” which affect the way a process develops. The internal lines between the points; that is, the three-point figure and the six-point figure, are said to show certain non-obvious connections… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enneagram_of_Personality

One more time, in case you read over it too quickly:

“The inscribed figure resembling a web connects the other six points in a cyclic figure 1-4-2-8-5-7. This number is derived from or corresponds to the recurring decimal .142857 = 1/7.”
